Our Little Playgroup on Thursdays (10am-11:30am) is specially tailored for children aged 12-24 months and their parents/carers. Here we share a gentle rhythm of facilitated activities and free play, while parents have plenty of time to connect and chat over a cuppa.
In each 10-week term we focus on one of nature’s elements and experience the changing seasons around us. Each session includes songs, circle games, nursery rhymes, free play (inside and outside), and a delicious morning tea, all guided by an experienced Steiner early childhood educator.
For the first half of the term (Baking Days), each week we shape and make delicious bread rolls using organic ingredients to take home (gluten-free option available with prior advice).
For the second half of the term (Making Days), each week we work on a craft project, drawing inspiration from nature and the elements.
Families may book in for each half-term separately ($110 for 5 sessions), or enjoy a discount by registering for the whole term ($190 for 10 sessions).
PLEASE NOTE: Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer. Our sessions are tailored to allow carers ample opportunities to connect with one another, and to enjoy meaningful activities together with your child. We request you avoid the use of your mobile phone during the playgroup session.
Age: This playgroup is strictly for children under 2 years of age. Families with multiple children up to age 3 1/2 may like to consider our over-2s playgroup, which includes younger siblings.
What to bring: Please bring a piece of fruit to contribute to the morning tea fruit salad. Please dress yourself and your child in suitable clothing for the weather on the day. Water play occurs on hot days, so you may wish to bring a change of clothing for your child.
Special needs Please advise when booking if your child has any special needs, dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free dough for baking) or allergies.
Contact: Please email us at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Refund policy: There are no refunds available for missed sessions.
Playgroup NSW: All families must be current members of Playgroup NSW. You can join online here.
